The 5 Deadly Mistakes Regularly Made With Viral E-Books by Danny Clare
0I’ve made ‘em all.
You don’t have to.
Don’t do this…
1. Never use any link inside the content that you can’t control.
I learned the hard way that you should always use redirect links from your own domain when putting any kind of link inside your ebook.
For example: most people insert their affiliate link for an affiliate offer inside the ebook that they have put together. The one that was given to them by the affiliate program owner.
Instead, you want to link to a page at your site that refreshes and redirects the visitor to your assigned affiliate link. Something like this… [http://www.yourdomain.com/brainstorm.html].
This is important so you can CHANGE the link anytime you want to in the future.
For example: If I decided to no longer use Clickbank to handle my affiliate program and went with a different affiliate tracking link, what happens to the thousands of copies of your viral eBook that are in place with that old affiliate link in there?
They become obsolete, unusable and unprofitable.
Or, suppose you are linking to a dating service that goes out of business? What now?
Your links are toast. They are worthless to you.
With a redirect link you can easily adjust the target page and send the traffic to a different dating service, or to a page at your site.
With a redirect link the changes are made at YOUR SITE, which you remain in control of regardless of what happens with the products and services that you linked to.
Even if you change hosts or servers, you still remain in control.
You don’t have to make changes to all of those eBooks — which would be impossible to do. You simply make a 2 minute change at your site.
I can’t tell you how many dead links are in some of my earlier ebooks that continue to give me headaches as people email me saying, “You’ve got a dead link here … can you give the correct link?”
It creates a lot of extra work in answering emails and certainly is throwing away potential profit for the countless people who never bother to ask for an updated link.
So, never use any link inside the content that you can’t control.
Always use redirect links.
2. Another thing is you want to avoid using dated information by providing too specific details.
Affiliate program A may not be offering that free 30 day trial offer very much longer.
The price for admission to that special site may not always be $29.95.
That site that was “just released last week” may have become an all-time classic by the time Bob reads your viral ebook two years after it was released.
You want to make certain that you stay away from information that is too specific that can easily become irrelevant.
Again, I get emails all the time griping about inconsistent prices because I put a price for the Profits Vault membership into one of my early viral ebooks and that price is no longer valid.
Hasn’t been for a few years.
I’ve even gotten ugly emails accusing me of fraud and false advertising, with threats to turn me in to the attorney general and all kinds of nonsense.
So, be careful that you don’t date your viral ebook if you can avoid it.
3. Another no-no is to never put any information into your ebook that you don’t want all over the world.
These things travel folks and they can be global in a matter of days and certainly over time you can easily have a worldwide audience.
I made the mistake of putting my cell phone number in one of my earlier ebooks because everyone claimed that if I didn’t have my contact information in there, no one would buy from me… which is nonsense I might add.
Anyway, I started getting all kinds of calls at all hours of the day.
What was 3:00 in the afternoon in the Philippines was 3:00 in the morning where I live.
So, it was a nuisance.
Kind of a funny story came out of it.
I disconnected that number, of course, and got a new one. That was almost 2 years ago.
Well, about a month or so ago I had a lady email me and she was hopping mad.
Apparently, she had ordered a cellular phone and got my old number… and folks were still calling!
She told me that she was getting calls from England and all over looking for me and they were running her cellular bill up with charges.
She wanted me to do something about it and all I could do was tell her “I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do.”
With viral marketing, it’s pretty much unstoppable, which is why it is so effective. It keeps spreading and it’s hard to stop the growth once it gets going.
So, never put anything into your ebook that you don’t want the world to know and use.
4. Another thing is this … always have your carriers do the branding.
You want to automate the process as much as possible. Again, I learned the hard way. Early on, before there were all of these branding tools available, I hand customized each ebook.
And as they began to spread, the customization requests grew to be way too much for me to handle. I was spending most of my day putting together these customized viral ebooks for each new person that requested a copy.
That had to change and so now I use branding tools and branding instructions. I give them to anyone who wants to customize the ebook and I let THEM do the work.
Keeps me out of the loop completely.
So, unless you have some specific reason to do it yourself, place that responsibility onto the ones who want to distribute the viral ebooks.
5. One more thing I want to share. Always launch new browser windows with your links in your ebooks.
Whenever you link to a site within your viral eBook content, always remember to code that link to launch a new browser window when the reader clicks on it.
I learned this the hard way.
There are many scripts involved in the order-taking process at online credit card processing sites.
And many of those have caused glitches in the eBook due to the software the eBook was created with and it crashes the eBook, making it impossible to order.
So, what happens is this.
You do your job well.
The content is great.
You’ve got a hungry customer waiting to buy.
They click on a recommended product link.
They arrive at the site still inside your eBook window.
They click on the order link and the entire thing shuts down.
I mean completely shuts down the ebook and website altogether. And, in some cases, it even crashes the computer. You just lost a customer because two sets of code didn’t like each other.
That has happened to me on MANY different occasions in some of my early ebooks.
Now, all of my links launch new browser windows OUTSIDE of the ebook if you click on a link inside the ebook. All you need to do is insert a simple line of code into your links inside the eBook. The code looks like this…
Target=”Resource Window”
Now when someone clicks on your link, a new browser window will launch outside of the eBook itself before taking them to the website. Now, you’re safe. EVERY link in your eBook should have this code. You can thank me later.
Viral eBooks are tremendous tools. But, there are also some pitfalls associated with them. I’ve just shared five of the mistakes that I have made. There is just no way of measuring how much profit I have lost over the years due to those errors.
There wasn’t a manual available to tell me how to do it. History hadn’t really been recorded at that time to tell me what to stay away from and what to make sure I did in order to protect myself from problems.
So, you’re getting something that I didn’t have. Aren’t ya happy? In all seriousness, don’t make the mistakes that I made. History doesn’t need to repeat itself on this one.
I wish you much success online and in all of your life. Go, and do well.

The Key to Business Success – #1 Mindset by Terry Telford
0The Four Keys To Business Success
The success or failure of your business is dependent on you. You are the main cog in a series of gears that drive your business. Every business owner has his or her own individual issues to deal with, but overall, there are four key factors that successful business owners share.
The four keys to your business success are:
Mindset
Focus
Education,
Action.
Mindset
The way you think, directly affects the results you get from your business. If you look at your business as a hobby, you will make a hobby income. If you treat your business as the professional entity that it is, your income will match your expectations. Although it may seem like psycho-babble, the way you think and view your business has a huge effect on whether you can actually buy your shiny yellow Corvette, or whether you can only afford the gas.
Here’s your new mindset: You are the President and CEO of your own company. It doesn’t matter if you are the only person in your company, and your company consists of a 10-year-old computer sitting in the dusty corner of your bedroom. No one cares about your company except you. Your customers only care what your company can provide for them.
Next, take a realistic look at what you want to achieve. It’s easy to see the success stories online and get caught up in the excitement. But look behind the scenes to see what actually happened to achieve those successes. There was a lot of groundwork that went into creating the results you read about. The money is there, but it takes some work to get to it.
To prove this point, we’ll look at TheBusinessProfessional.com. One of the milestones in the company’s history was generating $41,439 in sales in 17 days. But there’s more to the story.
The Business Professional was born almost 2 years before the first major sales achievement. Originally, it was an online portal with a print quality magazine. Then it was transformed into a membership website.
The sales were generated, for the most part, by affiliates. The affiliates made a 50% commission, so $20,000 was paid to them. After payment processing fees, hosting and other miscellaneous fees, there was approximately $20,000 left to run the business and draw an income. So as Paul Harvey used to say, “Now you know the rest of the story.”
So when you see stories of large amounts of money in short periods of time, keep in mind there is always a story behind the story. Remember to keep your expectations realistic.
Look at your business as if you were climbing a ladder. You have to lift your foot up to the first rung before you can reach the second rung. You have to make your first $10 sale before you make your first $100 sale. You have to experience your first $100 month before you have your first $500 month.
With perseverance and the right mindset, you can reach your goals, but you have to walk before you can run.
Focus
The next battle you’re going to wage is with your mind. You need to stay focused on one task at a time. Pinpoint your focus to stay effective. When you sit at your computer, you are there to get a job done. There are hundreds of distractions online and offline, but you need to focus on the task at hand or your work will never get completed.
We all suffer from information overload. When you are online, it’s easy to start out with great intentions of completing a task like answering email, and 2 hours later find yourself surfing mindlessly. You click on a link in an email that takes you to a website that leads you to another website with intriguing information in a link that… you get the picture. We’ve all been there. So you need to guard your focus and not lose sight of what you’re actually supposed to be doing while you are sitting in front of your computer screen.
You have invested in this course to learn how to tap into the financial power of the internet, so focus on the course and ignore everything else for the time being. You will build a solid business faster by keeping your focus.
To prove this point, look at the results of a recent experiment. Whether you agree or disagree with the methodology, the outcome is fascinating.
An experiment was conducted with a group of mentally challenged people. Each person had the ability to listen to simple instructions and carry out a simple task. None of them could do more than one simple task at a time, but all of them were able to complete menial tasks on a computer.
The top person in the group had been taught how to copy and paste text from a Word document into a simple form on a website. Each day, he would sit down at the computer for 20 minutes, copy and paste exactly as he’d been shown and then turn off the computer. This was his “job” every single day, day-in, day-out.
The text he was copying and pasting from the Word document into the form on the website was a simple article. He was given a new article each morning to copy into an article submission website and then push the send button. That was all he did. That was all he knew how to do. He didn’t suffer from information overload. He simply followed the instructions he had been given. Each article promoted a website. After 3 weeks of sending out one article a day, the website made its’ first sale, then another and another until the website was making at least one sale a day.
If a mentally challenged person can generate sales from a website, using one simple tactic, so can you. The key to making it happen is focus – your focus.
Narrow your focus and block out all the other noise in your life. Focus on this course until it is crystal clear and follow each step exactly as it’s presented. Do not hop around, don’t get side tracked, don’t get bogged down with information. Follow the steps in the order they have been presented and you will have a solid business that you are proud of.
Education
Now that you have the proper mindset and you are focused, let’s move into training mode. This is the third key to unlocking your business success. The course you are taking right now is your education. By the time you are finished this course, you’ll know exactly how to set up, run and profit from your online business.
As you take your business to new levels of profitability, you want to keep learning and advancing. It’s beneficial to read a business publication or listen to a business audio for at least half an hour each day. This way, you are continuing your education daily, but also working on your business. Educate yourself every day, but make sure you put your education into action. Don’t get stuck in education mode and forget to act on your new knowledge.
Action
This is the vital key to success. You need to pare down your actions. Your only productive business actions are the ones that are helping to increase your business. The rest is wasting valuable action time. Surfing the internet is not a productive action unless you are researching new opportunities. If you are researching, you need to limit your surfing to include only the subject matter that is essential to making decisions. It’s very easy to get sidetracked and waste hours upon hours and getting nothing productive accomplished. You need to concentrate and stay focused.
If you have a home based business, diligently set aside a block of time every single day that is your business time. No one should disturb you during that time. You have to discipline yourself to keep that time as business time.
Before you sit down at your computer, decide what you want to accomplish. If you want to write an autoresponder message and update your website with a new article, those are your priorities. Talking to your friends on Skype , and surfing for irrelevant information can be done after you have accomplished your goals.
If you are able to sit down at your computer undisturbed for several hours, break your time into blocks to ensure you maximize your effectiveness. The most important part of your business is your marketing. It should be the very first thing you do.
If you have 3 hours, your schedule could look like this:
Hour 1: Write and submit an article (marketing)
Hour 2: Edit a report (project development)
Hour 3: Answer email (administration)
Your daily actions will determine how successful your business is and how quickly you join the ranks of the high-level income earners. If you don’t set up little mini plans for yourself, each time you sit down at the computer, you will easily waste your time and accomplish little or nothing.
Don’t confuse activity with accomplishment.
Every business owner has to deal with his or her own issues while running their business. There are no excuses, only results and feedback. If you’re starting a business, use the four keys to success wisely. If you’ve already got a business, review the keys and implement them. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Making Money Online by Jeffrey Wall
0Would you like to increase your income? Are you looking to expand your clientele base? Thousands of small businesses have been, and are still turning to the Internet to build their companies. True, there have been many dot com failures over the years. However, many of these companies share common marketing and management mistakes. In this article we cover why so many online stores fail and how to avoid such failures, and more important, how you can make money online.
Avoiding The Dot Com Scare
In the late 90′s, investors were in a frenzy, investing in dot com businesses. It seemed as if dot com businesses were they wave of the future. However, upon entering the 21st century, investors began pulling out. The profits that they were hoping to receive from their investments did not come. Even big dot com businesses such as Yahoo! began struggling in 2000. To show two of the downfalls of these dot coms, we will use the example of Yahoo.
According to the May 21, 2001 cover story of Business Week, Yahoo’s problems began with poor management decisions. As Ben Elgin worded it in the article, “it [was] the arrogance of success. The Three Amigos [Yang, Koogle, and Mallett] felt invincible and had little incentive to seek talent or advice from outside their brain trust.” This leads us to mistake #1 made by so many dot com businesses:
- Overconfidence and
- Over looking outside advice
Overconfidence and over looking outside advice has led many a company to its demise. Believing that you can do everything for yourself, is oftentimes a deadly trap. With the large number of other dot com companies succeeding, there is much competition. You need an edge, and the knowledge of how to market and create a hearty revenue online. There are many companies that instruct small businesses like yours on how to improve online business dealings. These companies even offer such services as: Online Marketing Assistance, Custom Professional Web Site Design, and much more. These services, along with a will to make it to the top help businesses like yours to grow and succeed online.
Business Week continues by saying that another of Yahoo’s mistakes, was refusing a merger with eBay. Which according to Elgin, would have been Yahoo’s “second chance.” They were too unwilling to look to other companies to help create revenue for themselves. This is mistake #2 made by many dot coms. They do not rely on the many free online services available to create extra revenue.
Unwillingness to rely on other online businesses to make you money is another downfall of those seeking to make a profit online. Too many times, online businesses want to “make it on their own.” This is a fallacy that could keep you from tens of thousands of dollars. There are several methods to employ other businesses in your aid, at no cost to your company. Three of these that offer you free marketing or a nice side income are: Google AdSense, Banner Ad Programs, and Affiliate Programs.
Besides these two pitfalls, there are also the usual dangers that all businesses face. Budgeting, managing, offline advertising, customer service etc. have also resulted in the crumble of many online stores, as many of these businesses do not think that normal business practices apply to online sales. Now that we have discussed some of the stumbling blocks of integrating your business online, let’s discuss how you can make more money.
First, a dot com business like any other business needs a stable business structure and strategy. Many businesses going online start up thinking that the Internet automatically makes money for them. This is a fallacy that you cannot fall into. Just as any other business, Internet businesses require time and dedication. In some respects, this is easier if you are an already well established small business. Establishing a strong infrastructure is very important to your company. An organization useful in finding up-to-date business structure information is the SBA (Small Business Association).
Once you have a stable business structure, integrating your company online is much easier. Although selling products online is a major goal of most businesses looking to the Internet for profit, there are also many other online money making methods. Some of these are:
- Google AdSense
- Affiliate Programs
- Banner Ad Programs
So, what is Google AdSense? It is a mutually benefitting offer provided by Google. As Google continues to grow, they are looking to reach more and more people. They are now turning to online businesses to help in this effort. Google offers certain incentives for you to place their ads on your site. Each time that one of your visitors clicks on a Google ad while on your site, you earn money. As marketers everywhere have begun using this great feature, they have found many secrets to receiving more clicks. This relates to more money! One of the tricks to making money with Google AdSense is to direct more traffic to your site. This can be done well through Affiliate Programs and Banner Ad Programs.
Affiliate Programs can help you to make money from other companies, as well as direct more customers to your site. Affiliate programs can not only be beneficial to join, but also to create for your own online store. So, how do they work? To be short, if you join an affiliate program, you will generally post your affiliate’s banner on your site, and send out information in your newsletters about their great services. Each time someone clicks on the banner on your site or link from your newsletter and buys a product, you make money.Although there are thousands of affiliate programs on the Internet today, only a small percentage of them are of worth to you. It is important to find the best affiliate programs available. There are many websites with searchable directories, filled with affiliate programs of all sorts. However, you don’t usually find enough information about the programs from these sites. The key to having success with these programs is to send out as much information about, and as many links for the product/s or service/s offered by your affiliate as possible. Banners, newsletters, and other marketing should always include links to your affiliate.
Now, to create a successful affiliate program, you need to know that it must be worthwhile to those who will sign up. The competition is intense, and other online merchants want to join the best programs. For example, the program for JMSB Web Solutions offers a 10% sales commission on their services. For services that range from $100 to $500, affiliates stand to make $10 – $50 per sale, and just for placing banners and links for their customers to see. To receive the great marketing that having an affiliate program offers, you need to be a little generous without breaking bank.
Banner Ad Programs are another great way to receive free online marketing. Although online visitors are not quite as apt to click on banners as they once were, banner ad programs can still drive traffic to your site. In a banner ad program, you work through a company that places your banner on other sites, while they place banners from those other sites on your website. There are many of these programs, and some are better than others. It is important to know what you are looking for, because you may not want certain banners posted on your site. Search these programs’ rules and procedures well.
As you can see, there are many ways to increase your revenue through an online store. It is important to remember that you are not only online to sell products, but to take advantage of the exchange of information and services available on the Internet.
As a recap:

Simple Blogging Techniques by Yana Makhanov
0Adding blog to your forex site can be a very valuable contribution to your affiliate success. In order to attract readers to your blog, it is necessary to follow the right strategies and avoid the most common pitfalls of blogging. What are the best advices for bloggers? How can you drive more traffic and convert those curious minds into profitable traders?
1. Affiliate marketing is hard work!
You have been a forex affiliate for couple of months and things are slow. You are getting desperate and considering jumping into a different niche, or searching for other ways to earn money online.
My advice – slap yourself right now and stop daydreaming! Did you learn how to swim in one day? Have you found your soul mate in kinder garden? Did you really flip your first pancake perfectly without dropping the whole frying pan on the floor?! Of course not! Then why do you still think that making money online is as easy as 1-2-3 and you should be making your first million by now?!
2. Plan and Organize
The structure of the blog is very important. Take time to figure out how you want your blog to look like. For example, how would you like to have the following features listed:
• Comments
• Sub-pages
• Archiving
• User Accounts
3. The Power of the Title
Keep in mind that title tags should be short, forex-related and catchy. While you are investing all that energy into readers, keep in mind that you do want to keep search engines happy too. The right phrasing and word ordering can make difference in bringing the targeted traffic your way.
4. Spread Your Post
Once you update your blog with new posts, you have to spread the word around the net. To do so, submit your posts to social networks such as: Technorati, Delicious, Flickr, Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon etc.
5. Leave Comments for Later
Unless you already have plenty of visitors coming in, it might be a good idea to withdraw from allowing comments in the beginning. There is nothing more depressing than a blog with no comments. Also, it is a good idea to monitor the comments – you will be surprised how much spam is posted on a daily basis. You definitely don’t want that kind of comments around.
6. Pictures Worth Thousand Words
The most successful blogs have all kind of illustrations, images, videos, charts and graphs to entertain the audience. So, in case your blog is all about forex trading and contains text, text and more text – you might at least consider adding text decorations like blockquotes, clipart, bullet points and other visually appealing content.
7. Research is Your Best Friend
Here is the hard part – you have to find out what forex traders what to talk about. Spend time researching the most asked questions and discussed topics in forex industry.
8. Write From The Heart
Readers like to hear real stories for real people. Compassionate, honest, with a touch of humor but at the same time professional tone is the best way to keep your readers interested. It is not only what you say, but how you say it. In case your post touches problematic issues that might offend your readers, maybe it is a good idea to reread it couple of times and make sure that nothing needs to be rephrased. Once your post is online, there is no going back.
On the other hand, sharing personal experience and private information in your content with a light sprinkle of humor can be a true hit. An occasional off-limit topic can bring great rewards – links and traffic!
9. Keep It Simple
Long posts are proven losers! Don’t overdo it – stick to maximum 750 words. Your post can actually be amazing, however, almost none of us read an article from the top to the bottom. Most likely, you are not even reading this line. This means only one thing – write less and keep it simple!
10. Respond To Your Readers
Once you enable comments on your blog, you obviously want the readers to communicate and leave comments to your posts. It shouldn’t be one-sided conversation and questions should not go unanswered.

3 Ways to Make Money at Home Online by Tasi U Feite
0Although there certainly are an endless variety of ways to make money on the Internet, I’d like to share with you 3 different ways that I have used in the past and am still using in order to earn a substantial income online. I’m sure that you will be able to use one of these for yourself.
The first way that I am able to make money online is through affiliate marketing. I started in affiliate marketing over 10 years ago, and it has been successful enough that I never stopped doing it completely. You just pick an affiliate program, get your special link and then drive targeted traffic to that link. If people are interested in what is being offered, they will purchase and you will get a share of the profits.
Blogging is also an excellent way to begin making money online, and you can usually have a blog set up within a matter of minutes. Although I would recommend that you eventually have a blog on your own domain name, there certainly is nothing wrong with using some of the free blogging platforms to drive traffic. This is an excellent way to get targeted people over to your affiliate link and begin earning commissions within a short period of time.
One final way that you can make money is by getting an online mentor. Buying a course or paying for somebody to teach you directly is one of the best ways for you to find a fast-track to profits. Not only does it help you to do things the right way, it helps you to avoid many of the pitfalls that can sidetrack you along the way.
Good luck with your efforts.
Follow a step by step tutorial and have your new income stream up and running in 24 hours.

Profit Guide, When You’re New to Online Selling by Saad Wasel
0It’s hard isn’t it? Knowing just where to begin when you’re new to the whole online selling game. With so many others already earning money and touting the praises of their methods, where exactly do you begin?
Many “newbies” give up before they’ve really begun. That’s due in part to the unrelenting maze of courses, ebooks, and other assorted sources available as soon as you log in! It’s confusing. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? And who’s in it just to make a quick buck from the inexperienced?
Well, hopefully, this guide will point you in the right direction! After all, that is the purpose of it
Let’s first discuss why people feel compelled to sell products online. . .
Why To Sell…?
E-Z Money
Everyone wants to make money. That’s a given. And the internet can present some pretty lucrative possibilities. But it can also create a breeding ground for scammers. Sometimes it’s tough to know what a scam is and what isn’t. No one can tell you in all honesty that they haven’t, at some time in their online career, been taken at least once by a hyped up scam. You have to understand that there are some folks who are a constant source of helpful information and those that are hanging out looking for the quick cash. While you can make some easy profits doing business on the internet, you still must be vigilant and careful when buying. The old adage still rings true, especially online: “Let the Buyer Beware”.
Plus, when you sell products online, generally start up costs is much lower than that of a traditional “brick-and-mortar” store. In many cases your monthly costs would be less than going for a night out. So, turning a profit is much, much easier to accomplish.
Limitless Opportunity…….
Earning money online is virtually limitless. Every single day, millions log on in search of something. Whether it be information, or a specific product. Shopping by internet is a time-saver. Collecting information online is a time-saver. Understand that most folks looking for information are prepared to pay for it. This is a fact. And absolutely anything that you can think up can be turned into an informative product. Remember, there are millions of internet visitors all across the world searching for information. The only “limits” involved with selling online are those you set for yourself.
Add to that the fact that with information selling, you can resell the same “packet” of materials over and over again to as many people who want it, and you have an unstoppable income force! However, it’s important to remember that technology is an ever expanding field. So you will have to “change with the times” and be prepared to keep your information up to date. Change is a good thing.
Any “idea” can be cultivated into a product. Does it have to be a great idea? No. But, you do need to make sure that you are offering something that has a value. You can’t just go and copy down some free information, change some of the wording, and then expect to make a profit. It doesn’t work that way. You must put forth effort to get value from what you’re creating. This way, if you value and believe in what you have made, then most likely others will too. Plus, eventually, you’ll get caught and be labeled a “scammer”. And that, my friend, is a reputation you do not want if you want to make your online business a success.
Where To Sell
The first thing you need to do is have a place to sell your products from. It doesn’t matter what you’re selling, but it does matter where you sell it from. Let me explain. When you plan to run an online business, treat it like one! You’ll make much more money this way, believe me. Sure, you’ll have some out of pocket expenses, but that’s part of doing business. I cannot stress enough the importance of having your very own domain name and web site space.
There’s a big difference between a department store and a yard sale. Think of your business as a specialized department store, and give it a place to “stand”. If you try and do every single thing for free, you’re business will suffer for it in the long run. You need complete control over your business. After all, you are the boss and not just the manager. That’s why you need to steer clear of free web hosting sites.
Yeah, they give you your own sub-domain and a limited amount of space, but more importantly, these hosts hinder your earning ability with permanent banner ad placement and file upload limitations. Keeping everything as simple as possible will benefit you in the end and make your job a lot easier. Don’t waste your time or energy. It’s not worth it.
So, do yourself a big favor and pay for good web hosting. Let me add this, many web hosts are steering away from allowing certain files to be hosted on their servers. This includes .zip, .mp3, .exe, and in some cases .pdf files. Not good for an information business. Most of these web hosts who ban these types of files are offering “shared” hosting. Shared hosting is simply multiple web sites that share the same server. While this isn’t a bad system, it still limits what you can do. But, if you are comfortable with that and have found a shared hosting plan that fits your specific needs with a good price, then go for it. But be sure to check their terms of service before you finalize your choice and pay.
Before you set up with a specific web host, you need a domain name. That is an easy enough task. Where you purchase your domain name is just as important as where you purchase your web space hosting. A good company to go with for domain name purchasing is GoDaddy. They’ve been around for a while and they have top notch customer service. Plus, their prices are affordable.
It doesn’t matter where you buy your domain name, just that you buy one.
Now, if you’re just beginning and don’t really have the funds to purchase a domain name and website space, there is another way to begin if you are wishing to sell information products that can be automatically delivered by way of downloading. There is a site that does something quite unique. I know I said earlier that using a sub-domain isn’t a good idea for serious online business. But, using a system like TradeBit is the exception to this.
And the reason is quite simple.
First of all, you can get a free 20 MB account, a sub-domain, web based FTP file uploading, built in shopping cart, your own affiliate program, and integrated PayPal/eBay selling plus automated product delivery. This will cut down your work load substantially. Beyond that, they have extensive tutorials in both text and flash that help you “learn the ropes” when using their system.
Besides this, you can always use the redirect function when you purchase your domain name and have a small web hosting space. You won’t need a whole bunch of space if you use TradeBit to host your product files. And they allow you to host all the files that shared hosting companies do not. Such as .mp3, .exe, .zip, images and the like. Understand that any files you host you must have the right to sell them. But if you are a reseller, then this is not a problem.
There is really no good reason why purchasing a domain name and web space should cost you more than $30 realistically. And, if you need more file hosting space, TradeBit offers affordable solutions for this as well that you can upgrade to at any time. All in all, setting up your own online business should cost you no more than $100.
A few more things you will need before you begin are a merchant account, an eBay account if you are interested in selling there, an HTML editor for making changes to pre-designed sales kits or for creating a sales page, and an image editor for creating graphics for your sales pages and products.
There are several different places that you can pick up your own merchant account. PayPal being my top choice due to the fact that it’s free. Plus, this is the payment system that TradeBit uses although they are working on adding other systems at the time of this writing. Now, for those that cannot get a PayPal account because of restrictions, you can always get a free merchant account from StormPay. It’s basically the same system setup as PayPal. But, you can sign up for a free merchant account on a new system called PayDotCom. They offer PayPal and StormPay integration among others within their system, so it’s a good choice. Again, opening a merchant account with PayDotCom is free.
If you have the money and can afford it, there are other merchant account systems out there too. ClickBank being the first on my list. It will cost around $50 to set this up. But don’t worry, it’s just a one time fee. Also, there is 2CheckOut and they offer a free shopping cart set up service.
Now that you know where you should be selling, it’s time to decide on what to sell.
Who To Sell To
Knowing who you are selling specific products to is just as important, if not more so, than what you are selling them. How exactly can one find out just who their specific customers are? That’s pretty simple. Think about the item you are selling. What is it? Who would be most likely to purchase it? Who would benefit from it? These types of questions can really narrow down your core selling base. And it will help you understand how to advertise your product and get a better response. Understanding your product completely will help you be more successful in the selling process, especially when potential customers have questions that you will need to be able to answer for them.
So, now that you know who you should be selling to, where do you go about finding this select group of individuals? Not too difficult. First off, high traffic sites like eBay for instance, are already comprised of hungry buyers. All they need do is put in a few keywords to search for what they seek and BINGO! There is a nice list provided for them. But be sure that you use as many descriptive words, or keywords, as you can when choosing a listing title for your product.
Say, if you are selling a dvd movie about Dracula. Then you might want to select something like this: Classic Dracula Horror DVD. You get the idea here. People searching for not only a DVD movie, but those searching for the keywords: horror, classic, and Dracula, will also see your listing. Always remember to be honest when you list any product anywhere for sale.
Another great way to find customers that are willing to receive notifications from you about certain products you are selling is by starting up your very own mailing list or newsletter. It’s easy to start one, and doesn’t take too much time to operate. If you decide just to send previous customers special notices when you have new inventory, that’s fine. But be sure that these people want to receive these mailings from you.
Otherwise, you’re pretty much SPAMMING in their eyes. They have to agree to this type of action. It doesn’t matter if they bought something from you. All they agreed to receiving at the time of their purchase was the product they paid for. Nothing more. However, if you approach them in a friendly manner and ask them if they would like to receive future notices about your new products, many times they will agree to that if they are satisfied with your performance.
There are other ways to create your own mailing list though. You can create a sign up form on your web site, use a pop up or pop under from your web site, using free Joint Ventures, or offering free products to those that subscribe. Mailing List Profits and List Building
Launch Pad are two great resources to help you get started with that task.
The bottom line is that previous customers can become repeat customers. And that’s what you want!
One last way I’d like to talk about is by getting traffic to your online store or web site. Even if you decide to run a free site, you can still sell products there through the use of banner advertisements, or ad boxes such as those provided by companies like Google. While you may not generate “instant profits” by using this method, you can begin to make a steady trickle of money over time.
We’re almost to the home stretch! All we need to do now is focus on the ways in which you can begin selling.
How To Sell
There are plenty of creative ways that you can start marketing your products to potential customers. Of course these aren’t all the processes of profit generation, but those listed are some pretty darn good ones. Take some time to read up on each one and try them out. Everyone’s path to success is a different one, and yours will be no exception. Most of the methods listed below are more commonly used for selling information products online, but can be adapted to selling physical products also.
Keep in mind, these methods I’ve outlined for you below are just basic descriptions and there are many different products available that describe each one or a combination of them in lots more detail. Think of this as your “selling dictionary” so that when you begin learning the actual process of selling, you’ll know many of the terms that are discussed ahead of time.
The Traffic Method
Using traffic exchange sites is a great way to begin sending floods of visitors to your online store or web site. If people don’t know about your business, then how do you expect to make any money from it? That’s where these exchanges come in. Although, it’s not without plenty of effort and time that will get those visitors to your site. If you want to participate for free, then expect to spend lots of time looking at other participants web sites to earn credits that go towards getting visitors to your own site.
An alternative is to pay for traffic if this is in your budget. Understand though that just because you pay to get the people visiting your site doesn’t mean that they buy, or even stay longer than 30 seconds. I would suggest that you try the free traffic generation options available to test the waters. There have been many informative ebooks written on the subject with new ones cropping up all the time due to the popularity of this method. A wonderful ebook on this is Auto Hits Machine.
The Affiliate Method
By far, this is the most inexpensive and easiest method to use. Every single day people just like you begin earning money from simply signing up for various affiliate programs. It won’t cost you a thing past a few minutes to begin earning. That is, you need to become an affiliate before you can see any rewards. Most all affiliate programs will give you all the information and tools you need to begin seeing profits. They want you to succeed.
Otherwise, if you fail, they do too and no money is made for either end. A word of caution though, not all affiliate programs are created equal. Or even close! Some actually pay their affiliates and some, well, beat around the bush and it could take up to 3-6 months to see even one dime from them. Be sure that you read all information available on any affiliate program beforehand. Time is an extremely valuable commodity when doing business online, and you can’t afford to waste it on crappy products or programs that bring you zilch results.
The Auction Method
Another popular method for newbies and experienced sellers alike. Explosive sites like eBay have millions of visitors per day, so it’s easy to see why this is such a popular choice for selling products online. It can be incredibly easy to list an item for sale and make quick cash when needed with the use of online auctions. However, you must choose your prices, products, and descriptions very carefully to make good profits. This takes time of course to learn the best ways, but it can be well worth it so long as your earnings stay in the “black”, or positive numbers.
To sell through an auction site all you need is an account through the site itself, which is normally free, a product, and a payment processor such as PayPal to get your money as fast as possible. And, most big auction sites like eBay offer plenty of useful information along with step-by-step instructions to get you up and “auctioning” quick as a flash.
The “FireSale” Method
I’m sure you have seen this or at least heard of it before. This is when a company or organization has a massive sale at an extremely discounted price to move their merchandise.
Firesales have gained in popularity because of the sheer amount of profits being pulled in from them. It’s not unreal to hear people say that they earned thousands of dollars in just 3 days. That’s the power of the Firesale. A good Firesale will offer top quality products for an insanely low price, with the price going up by any given percentage or dollar amount throughout the length of the sale. It builds like a fire! Until it’s all over and it has burned out, or run it’s course.
There are some marketers that sell products online who dismiss these types of sales and never get involved in them. I feel they are doing themselves a great disservice this way. If you can get some great products for an unheard of price, why not? There are specific tools you need to run such a sale, and speaking from experience I have to say that John Delavera has one of the best called JV Manager. It’s pricey, but worth every single penny. Of course there are others, but my money is on John all the way.
In addition, you’ll need to have your own domain and web space that allows you to upload and access .cgi and, or .php files since many of these types of Firesale programs run on this scripting.
The Membership Method
Creating your own membership site is a very profitable business. It also creates a stable flow of monthly income on a regular basis. That’s what makes this method a great one.
Consider this, you could utilize a content management system such as PostNuke or Mambo and run the whole thing just from it. If you’re more inclined to offer a place that is specifically for downloading products like those of the information or ebook nature, then a file hosting system like TradeBit may be the way for you to go. Or, you could even run a membership website from your very own web space with a script such as Membership Millionaire.
It’s not a very difficult method to use, but it is quite time consuming. And there is a lot of stiff competition with this type of site because it is such a successful method. So, you have to think of a way to put a unique spin on whatever it is you are offering. For instance, you could give your members original content, private forums to build a helpful community, video tutorials, etc. This will bump up the value of your membership site over that of your competition. Usually, this method doesn’t do that well on auction sites since many of those searching through there are looking for the lowest price they can find.
The Viral Method
Ever heard the saying, “You don’t get something for nothing.”? Well, this method power-blasts that into dust! Just what is a “viral” product? Think of it as a nasty bug. And this little bug carries itself everywhere until it creates a full blown virus. That’s what this method is all about.
You create your own unique product on whatever topic you decide on, add lots of good information and affiliate links inside it, and then give it away. Yes. I said give it away. Everyone likes getting something for free. What makes this method even better than just giving great information away is the fact that you create a product that is chock full of back-end affiliate links for those that receive it from you to change those back-end links so they can profit by giving it away.
So how the heck are you suppose to profit after the downloaders have changed all those links? That’s easy! By adding your own advertisements that cannot be changed with your affiliate or direct purchase links throughout it! You could put one or two on every single page or before every chapter of your informative product. Even though all the other back-end affiliate links can be changed, those ads cannot. So you’ll still generate profits or mailing list sign ups even though you’re giving this specific product away.
Things To Avoid
When starting up any business, there are certain pitfalls you need to steer clear of. That’s what this section is all about. So that you can arm yourself with the knowledge of techniques that will lead you down the path to failure. Whether that is time or money losses. Both are important!
I must add here that these things to avoid are things that I have tried myself and haven’t brought me any positive results from using them. So you should be cautious before you attempt any of these listed here.
Email Address Buying
I’m sure that you’ve seen these companies before. Some work, some don’t. A majority of them don’t. And, unless you can be sure that these email addresses they are giving you are truly double opt in(this is the process of saying “Sure! Send me information” digitally through a doubled process to be certain that those individuals in fact do want the information that’s being sent to their email addresses), and not harvested emails(emails that are randomly collected from around the internet with no idea they are being put on lists), it’s like taking a shot in the dark.
Anyone can tell a lie. But it takes a great person to tell the truth. Sad to say, there’s not a whole lot of those kinds of people doing business on the internet. But, there are still some folks out there you can trust by building a long relationship with them.
I’ll tell you this much, the best way to build your mailing list is to do this on your own. This way, you are 100% sure that the email addresses you have and the people behind them really want what you are sending out to them. I would recommend that you think twice, and then think again before purchasing any email addresses from anyone. Especially if the price is cheap.
Safelist Mailing
In a word, NO! Safelists are comprised of others trying to sell their products to each other. It doesn’t work. Most of the time, if not all the time, your email ad will go unnoticed and deleted on site. Sure, safelists can be joined for free, but remember, you get what you pay for.
So, if you’re paying nothing, expect the same in return. I have personally paid for safelist memberships and have seen an absolute lack of profit return from mailing to them. And the same is true for free safelists. It’s a process that’s been around for a while, but it simply doesn’t work and you’d do well to invest your time in a worthy joint venture give-away instead. At least you’d get something out of it!
SPAMMING
Okay, this one is pretty simple and can be summed up with just one sentence. SPAM is against the law in the U.S. If you’re caught doing it, and you will most likely get caught, you will be fined and could have your computer equipment confiscated. There’s no reason to SPAM people. It’s annoying and doesn’t do a thing for you except ruin your reputation.
Time-Wasters
These are a collection of “get rich quick schemes”. They are lurking in every corner of the internet. Don’t participate in them. Money rotator programs don’t work. Pyramid schemes don’t work. And the list could go on and on. These are serious time-wasters and will not make you rich. They’re crap. Plain and simple. The only real people benefiting from these types of programs are the ones who created the darn things! Think about it. You find this program that sounds pretty good. It only costs you a total of $5.00 to get in. Your member name is put on a list and randomly displayed to get paid for every new member that signs up. But, you only make $2.00. The program creator/operator makes the other $3.00.
And they get paid every single time a new member signs up. You however are put in a pot of countless thousands whos member names get randomly rotated. The owner is sure to get paid, you aren’t. Plus, you have to get out there and start recruiting others not even sure that you’ll get paid by doing so. See what I’m saying here? It’s only quick money for those running the program. Not you.
The “Failure” Factor
This is one of the greatest success crushers there is. And it’s all caused by negative thinking and giving up! If you don’t have a big following of personal supporters like family and friends, don’t worry about it! You won’t get anywhere positive if you let the negative comments inside your head. You’ve got to put those things on the back burner to be successful at selling products online. To heck with the nay-Sayers. Are they feeding your family? Are they paying your bills? No. YOU ARE!
Every single person has the mental capacity within themselves to be a success at anything they do in life. That includes you. So what if Aunt Sally thinks you’re nuts for trying to make money online. Who cares if your brother or sister can’t get a grasp on what you’re trying to accomplish. What matters is what your goals are and what you believe you can do.
A wonderful saying to remember is: “If you can believe it, you can achieve it!” You can do this. It’s not brain surgery.
And if your first idea is a total flop, so what?! Get back on that horse and try again. This is where many give up. Not everything you do will be the best course of action. But you will gain the necessary experience through failure so that you can succeed the next time. But you have to give “next time” a chance. Remember, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, and try again!” If you give yourself enough time to learn and grow your internal knowledge base, you will succeed.
“Too Good To Be True” Products or Sellers
And finally, always remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Now, not everything will be a “too good to be true” product or service. There are some people and companies out there that have terrific services and products at unbeatable prices.
Never judge a book by its cover. Read all the details. Make certain you understand everything in a merchant’s terms. If you don’t, ASK QUESTIONS! Any reliable merchant should be able, and willing, to answer them. If you do ask, and don’t hear one single word back, or it takes them an unexplainable amount of time to provide you with the answers you seek, pass that offer over and move on to the next one.
In conclusion, selling products online can be an exciting and profitable business. But you have to be very careful with everything you do. Every transaction you make. Every friendship you strike up. Use your common sense. It will carry you far in your quest for internet riches.
My hope for you is that you have come away from this guide and learned more. What you do now with this knowledge is completely up to you. Make Massive Profits Online With Info Product Creation & Ghostwriting by Khai Ng
0If you are new to the Internet marketing scene and you want to take a crack shot at info product creation, what can you do? Well, for starters, I would highly recommend selling info products as a ghostwriter.
I started out as a ghostwriter and I used my ghostwriting services to establish my credibility and built many relationships with successful Internet marketers like Sen Ze, Edmund Loh, Aurelius Tjin, Vince Tan and Gobala Krishnan.
There are the many profit centers that you can build your wealth but I’ll just name a few:
o Ghostwrite for money up-front.
You charge someone a certain rate and you get paid for your services. The money up-front is good but there is no long term residual income in this. It’s good for starting out and building relationships but not wise as a long term business.
o Ghostwrite for profit sharing.
You may or may not receive profits up-front, but anything the marketer sells, you get to keep some of the profits. This is a very good strategy if you don’t have a list to market to and you wish to leverage on the list of other well-known marketers. This is a good strategy if you TRUST the Internet marketer’s character and marketing ability. The pitfall is that you will not be sure exactly how much you can earn as there is no guarantee of a certain income.
o Ghostwrite for list building.
You can write a special report for someone else FREE of charge and get them to promote in their list. You can let the marketer brand their affiliate links within your book and market them to their list in exchange for Advertising (Solo ads or recommended resources). This is a good way to build your mailing list if you are able to forgo up-front profits.
o Co-write/author a book with another famous marketer.
Some established Internet marketers might not have time to create their own content. If you want to gain credibility fast, you can do a joint venture with them by writing ALL the material yourself and branding the book in BOTH your names. You get to build your credibility super fast by leveraging on the credibility on others and depending on your agreement; you can split the profits among each other.
These are just some examples, but you get the idea. At the end of the day, you have to find a way to market your articles to your readers. And one of the fastest way to build credibility is to leverage on the credibility on others.
So how do you start your joint venture? The first thing you must do is to take action and search out who these guys are. Next, you must not be shy to ASK. Give them one of your reports for free and build a relationship. Don’t ask them for a JV right off the first e-mail because they don’t know who you are and it takes a while to build a friendship.
It doesn’t matter whether that person is in Internet marketing or niche marketing, so long as you can focus on creating a product and let them do the marketing, you will see pulse-pounding profits beating a path to your doorstep.
Khai is an E-product Creation Strategist well-known among the Internet marketing circle for his ability to create many quality E-products such as e-books, articles, blogs and copywriting materials at a blazing fast speed.
Coming from sales and marketing background, he started off as a ghostwriter producing best-selling e-books on the Internet. He is now working together with Top Infopreneurs like Sen Ze, Edmund Loh, Aurelius Tjin, Vince Tan and Gobala Krishnan.
His extensive knowledge in the marketing field contributes to his ability to create specialized info products related to Internet marketing, copywriting, sales training, marketing strategies, self-improvement and motivation, lead-generation, network marketing (MLM) and low-cost, high profit Internet business models.
In just a span of 8 short months, he has literally created and sold HUNDREDS of e-books, articles, sales copies, squeeze pages and e-courses.

Affiliate Program Rant – Stop Wasting My Time! by Bill Nickerson
0Time is precious. We only have so much of it to use. And yet, there are so many people who feel that they have the right to waste mine! Here are a couple of rants about two of the worst offenders.
Rant #1 – DVD’s
One of my pet peeves recently has been DVD startup times. I’m not talking about previews – I don’t mind them as long as I can skip them. What I’m talking about is the menu that takes 30 seconds to load (and can’t be skipped). I should be able to press Play within 1 second of the menu loading if I want to. I DON’T WANT TO WATCH THE MENU! Sorry about getting loud there.
STOP WASTING MY TIME!
On top of that, there are the endless warnings against piracy and disclaimers of any responsibility for the content. Yada, yada, yada! Seen it thousands of times already. I don’t need to see it in 3 languages. I know you legally need to have them there, but give me the option to skip it.
STOP WASTING MY TIME!
Then there are the opening credits. I know that there are many companies and individuals involved in getting a movie produced and they want to get their name out there, but all those 5 to 10 second spots adds up.
At least some, like DreamWorks, try to make it creative and fit with the movie. But it is still a waste of my time! And don’t get me started about the THX spots. They were funny the first couple of hundred times. The audience is listening, but we’re no longer amused.
STOP WASTING MY TIME!
Rant #2 — Internet Marketing
So, why is this rant in the Internet Marketing category? Well, it seems that the DVD producers aren’t the only ones that want to waste my precious time. It seems that Internet Marketers have decided that my time is not worth much.
For some reason, they are more than willing to fill up my time with empty hype rather than getting to the point. I’ve been looking at affiliate programs that I might be able to partner with to help subsidize my income. One thing that I’ve noticed is that there seems to be a formula out there that tells marketers to Make It Long (TM).
Page after page of proof (yeah, like that can’t be faked) and testimonials.
Hyper-inflated values all for an itty-bitty price.
The fake urgency.
I’m getting kind of sick of it.
STOP WASTING MY TIME!
I subscribed to a series of videos (thankfully free) that promised to show me how to make thousands per month making licensing deals. I spent 1/2 hour looking at the first video. All it did was tell me what it was going to tell me in the later videos! I didn’t need to waste half an hour for that – I’d already signed up! Even the first 6 minutes of the second video was wasted telling me what was coming up and how excited I should be about it. FAIL!
STOP WASTING MY TIME!
I’m sick of having to spend 15 minutes to get 2 minutes worth of information. I’m tired of marketers that want me to listen (and even watch) as they drone on in podcasts, conference calls and videos that I cannot easily skim through.
They want my attention and my money, but they aren’t willing to put it in a form that works for me – i.e. written form.
STOP WASTING MY TIME!
There, Now I Feel Better
Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system (for now), let’s talk a bit about some of the affiliate programs and other sites I’ve found so far that haven’t been a problem.
AONC
First of all, I really like Chris Guillebeau’s approach at the Art of Non-Conformity. It is the approach that I like to take in my online dealings. His e-mails contain actual information and the odd bit of promotion. There is no pressure. There is no hype. In fact, he tells you up front that he doesn’t expect everyone to jump on the products he offers.
Chris even says that he tries to scare people away if he doesn’t think they’ll be the kind of audience he wants to reach. Simple numbers are not important. He is looking for an audience that is actually interested in what he has to say.
ProBlogger
Darren Rowse has also taken a low key approach to online marketing. He is the force behind ProBlogger and TwiTip. He has other blogs as well, but I have found these two to be very helpful to me in my adventures in blogging and on Twitter.
Recently, Darren held the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge. I’ve been quite slow working through all the material myself. There are 31 activities to work on throughout the month. For those of you that missed it or who would like it in a single workbook format, Darren has made this resource available for a reasonable fee. The workbook is called 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge Workbook and you can find more about it in the resource link below.
Yaro Starak
Yaro is another blogger from Down Under who has a pair of products that he promotes through affiliate programs. While his marketing techniques are not as concise as I’d like, they are better than most. He does have a free report (Membership Site Masterplan) for his Membership Site Mastermind program. I have found it to be quite informative so far. I’m still working through it and I will definitely be looking into the product if I get around to setting up a membership site (I have an idea percolating…)
You will need to join his e-mail list to gain access to the report. This will result in a weekly e-mail from Yaro. I’ve found them to be informative and they are not pushy. There are some videos that he has posted relating to the program as well. As you can tell from the rants above, this is not one of my favourite things but you can check them out if you are so inclined.
He also has a Blog Mastermind product available. This is a membership site that helps you build a blog. This one also has a free report called Blog Profits Blueprint available for you to download. Once again, there is a weekly e-mail from Yaro.
The only trouble I have with Yaro’s program so far is that all the banners he has (animated gif’s) are a little bit annoying. I would like to see a couple standard size banners that don’t have animation.
Caroline Middlebrook
Caroline has been on a journey of discovering what internet marketing works and yet allows you to sleep at night. She has been involved with online marketing techniques in the past that she found questionable. But I think that she has found a way to avoid most of the pitfalls and has 2 wonderful products that I’ve been working through over the past few months.
Caroline’s approach also includes the free content in the form of weekly lessons via e-mail. The lessons are well written and build nicely upon one another. Her money making comes from selling the content for those who want it at a faster pace. The paid content also contains bonus materials.
Traffic Rush is a series of free lessons describing how to use StumbleUpon to generate traffic. She helps you to understand the mindset of StumbleUpon users as well as the way that the service works to promote articles. With this information you can avoid costly mistakes that alienate rather than entice users to your site. Links to the lessons are e-mailed weekly for 10 lessons. You can upgrade to get all the lessons at once plus bonus lessons.
Blogger’s Bible is a series of free lessons for bloggers. There is some great advice in here and while you’ve probably heard some of it in other places, she’s pulled it together nicely in logical order. I plan to go through the material again to pick up on the things that I’ve missed the first time through. The 49 lessons come once a week via e-mail. You can sign up for the FastTrack option to get the lessons all at once.
Steve Weber
I’ve recently checked out Steve’s Classroom and signed up as an affiliate for his products. Steve also has embraced the philosophy of those above. He gives a good selection of material away for free and offers additional products for those who want to go further once they’ve seen what he can offer. I haven’t had a chance to thoroughly go through all of the material yet, but I appreciate the low pressure and lack of hype.
Others
There are many other helpful people out there that I don’t have the time or space to mention in this post. Maybe someday there will be an article listing more of the helpful bloggers out there who haven’t wasted my time!
Conclusion

Make Money Easy Online – 5 Top Highly Profitable Internet Marketing Businesses You Can Start Today by Clare Brown
01. Online Auctions. There is no limit to how much you can sell here! You are limited only by your ability to list items, wrap them and mail them, and by your ability to source ever increasing amounts of products to sell. The best method is to read all you can of the people and companies who have already had great success selling with online auctions and to use their experience to guide your own endeavours. Excellent customer service is essential in this business. You can also build lists of buying customers to mail future offers to. Auctions are still the favourite way to become wealthy selling online, not least because the auction site itself does all the donkey work in targeting buyers and sending them to your sales pages, leaving you free to focus on listing and mailing. The ideal way to begin to make money easy online.
2. Become an Online Auctions Expert. The sky is the limit here, too, although initially you’ll be trading your time as a service business, rather than selling products to your customers. Obviously you will need some auction mileage so you have some handy tips to share with your clients. You could advise sellers and charge a commission of their increased sales: that’s a pretty smart option! You could speak at internet marketing conferences, teaching the structure of building an auction business, advise on pitfalls to avoid and share contact details of wholesalers and dropship companies. Later on you could produce an ebook training manual guide and even a full blown auction success membership site with monthly video training and interviews with successful auction businesses. You could tell how to become a powerseller or a top rated seller and give a blueprint to achieve this, or you could advise on good and bad dropshipping companies from your own experience. Develop your own blog and your own brand. Joint venture with other experts to cross promote to your customer lists.
3. Blogger. A blogger blogs and makes money blogging! Set up a blog and post daily within one profitable niche. Get known as an expert writer in this niche by producing other content across the net such as articles like this one, post in forums, comment on other blogs, create web 2.0 hubs and lenses, and guest post on other bloggers’ blogs. Develop your own bloggers’ forum. Have a pop up squeeze form and capture your readers’ email addresses in exchange for a free report or a free blog design! You can link to your latest blog posts in your emails and also promote relevant valuable products such as blogging books or templates, and occasionally cross promote with other relevant bloggers’ lists. Successful bloggers are celebrities in the internet marketing world these days! They are perceived as gurus who actually do something! Still the most lucrative income stream for highly popular blogs is Google Adsense advertising and banner ad links. These can make tens of thousands of dollars each month with a high enough visitor volume: always ensure you have plenty of reasons for readers to return to your blog, daily if possible!
4. Product Marketing. The focus in this business model is to develop a number of quality products every year to promote to your prospects’ and buyers’ lists, and to cross promote to other lists (known as joint venturing). So you might create an ebook report as a pdf file which you sell through Clickbank or as a seven dollar script or through Rapid Action Profits. The advantage of this over simply promoting the download directly from your website is that these programs have built in affiliate programs so as well as a product developer you become an affiliate manager. You quickly develop an army of affiliates all eager to promote your products at no cost to yourself: they earn a commission on every sale and these programs do all this work for you. You could next develop a membership site where you give your subscribers video, audio and transcript materials month by month. This allows you to build a residual income, and your affiliates will be even more excited to promote this for you. It’s a huge win-win situation. In the long term this is the biggest way to make money easy online. Your buyers’ email list will allow you to earn even more by promoting other marketing products, this time with you as an affiliate. This is the most exciting marketing opportunity in the world today!
5. Affiliate Sales. You may not want to get involved with actually producing your own products so just opt to promote other marketers’ products as an affiliate yourself. You can earn between 50-100% commissions on these products. Target a hungry buying niche such as marketing or weight loss and source the best selling products. Build yourself a subscriber lists of prospects by targeting traffic to your optin squeeze page where you exchange a download of tips for the prospects’ email address. They are free to unsubscribe at any time so it is perfectly ethical. Rather than continuously sending your expensive traffic to sales pages, send them to your optin so you can establish a relationship with them, and email out not only tips, but endorsements of products you use and recommend. If you take this slowly and courteously you will establish yourself as a trusted advisor and reliable expert and you will enjoy a long term growing residual income stream beyond your current expectations using this marketing method. For an even lazier approach simply purchase banner ads on highly visited websites and watch the numbers explode your profits!
Well, that’s all we’ve got time for folks, today, so may I wish you every success in your marketing and I hope you’ll share your stories with me in the comments for this article. Go ahead and choose one of these business models to make money easy online starting today! No hesitation – just get started!

Jeff Herring – Article Marketing Master by Rahul Majumdar
0N.B. This is the author’s twelfth teleseminar report from the “Seminars with the Experts” series hosted by Hilary Stewardson.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, article marketing specialist Jeff Herring has used the power of words to build an information empire. His resume includes a nationally syndicated column, various telecourses and coaching programs, and of course his own traffic generating articles. Jeff specializes in live, café-style video recordings and is a strong proponent of audio-visual promotion of writing services.
The Accidental Internet Marketer?
In his previous life, Herring built up a thriving family therapy practice over two decades. So how does a successful marriage therapist/relationship coach migrate to the forefront of Internet Marketing? In Jeff’s case, the seed was planted in 1994 with a first look online while writing his newspaper column. In 2005, he decided to bundle collections of his columns and sell them in e-book form. Initial success whetted his e-commerce appetite, and Herring proceeded to systematize a ready-made subscriber list to offer motivational quotes. A few months later, after setting up his first websites, Jeff became a full-time Internet Marketer and has never looked back.
Jealously Guarding Your Own Voice.
Consider Herring’s clever play on words that reveal his philosophy:
“Write with your mouth, not with your hands.”
Jeff says NO to private label rights (PLR) articles, because of mass duplication and their general lack of quality and relevance. By succumbing to recycled articles, you lose your voice and are not credible with prospects and customers anymore.
Does the same apply to outsourcing; i.e., ghostwriting (a.k.a. writing in another person’s voice)? Herring agrees that outsourcing is acceptable when you are not an expert in the chosen topic, but points out the inherent risk of abandoning original, personal work.
Jeff Herring agrees that we can use article marketing to drive readers to affiliate websites. However, at some point you need to look beyond other people’s products and claim full ownership of your words. After all, you’re doing all this work writing articles – why not promote yourself first?
Common Mistakes, Pitfalls of New Article Marketers.
Becoming a proficient article marketer like Jeff Herring takes practice, as well as avoiding some traps:
- Procrastination
- Belief that you don’t have anything worth saying; lack of writing confidence and self-esteem.
- Trying to say too much at once.
- Listening to the wrong people.
- Going on a buying frenzy for article generators, submission software, external aids, etc.
- Word count hang-up, especially at the low-end (250 words).
To generate writing topics, Jeff Herring recommends that you create “Tips” articles, in which you enumerate 7 ways to solve a specific problem. Then, take each tip and create a more specific article. As a result, one topic will allows you to create a total of 8 articles.
A perceived weakness often cited by beginners – that their article category is too crowded – in fact indicates its great potential. Competitors, potential customers, social networkers, and joint venture seekers are all on the lookout for quality writers, even the next superstar.
Spreading your Articles to the World.
Jeff Herring believes that article marketing is the best “free” way to generate traffic. However, simply being a great writer is not enough. Your goal is to plant “Evergreen” articles, articles that will drive traffic to your sites over and over again on autopilot. So, you must have a solid, systematic article submission strategy. Jeff offers an article submission hierarchy to follow:
- The best 1-2 article directories.
- Other top article directories.
- Niche article directories.
- Your own article directory or blog.
Jeff Herring’s 3 Power P’s.
Every article marketer is looking for the winning elements that will lead to a life-changing breakthrough. In short, we need:
- Prospects: Targeted traffic generation via articles to get eyeballs in front of your website. Now it’s up to you to encourage action!
- Publicity: High page rankings (PR), ideally the first page of Google for your keywords and key phrases.
- Profits: Money is great and justifies your hard work. However there are other indirect (i.e. back links) and direct (e.g. article repurposing) benefits of posting a steady stream of quality articles.
How to Make More Money from an Article than a Book.
On the surface, it may seem far fetched that individual articles can be a catalyst for recurring income. Yet, consider some of the possibilities:
- Converting a 7 Tips article into a 7-part autoresponder or e-course.
- Creating video and/or audio articles from the written word.
- Teleseminar series based on article tips.
In addition, consider the possibilities from combining article marketing and joint ventures. Many top entrepreneurs swap lists and cross promote. To make such alliances work for you, look for people in your niche – not necessarily heavy hitters – that are doing similar things and share your marketing outlook.
To work once and get paid over an over again, you must optimize each part of an article, i.e.:
- Title: Start with keywords that highlight the benefits of your article to the reader.
- Body: Manageable chunks of information that engage readers and leave them wanting more.
- Resource Box: Take advantage of your audience’s heightened sense of awareness to promote yourself. Should flow easily from your conclusion and not feel apart from the article body.
Conclusion.
Writing is a basic communication skill that is cultivated from the essence of your personality. The beauty of article marketing lies in its simplicity, no matter what technological advances are in store for the world. Jeff Herring embraces Internet technology, but hasn’t forgotten the essence of being successful – making things simple. To that end, it does not hurt to have guts, i.e.:
